Tattoos are the ultimate Accessory!

tumblr.com
It's an awesome thing when a fad becomes a trend. But let's face it, fashion trends don't last forever. If you're lucky, 5 years will roll by, and some resemblance of what was in then will be in again. But what happens when the trend you're sporting now is stuck with you forever? This seems to be the case with the fashion world's latest bad ass trend, tattoos. From the chic runways of Paris, France to the hipster streets of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York-- tattoos have become the ultimate fashion accessory for both men and women.

Often small, and sometimes in the most intimate of places, women have adopted a tough yet romantic tattooing trend; using ink to rock risqué phrases, pretty limericks, and cute symbols. Celebrity fashionistas like Miley Cyrus and her funky "Da Vinci" heart done by celebrity tattoo artist,Kat Von D, is just an example. But no one compares to Rihanna and her stunning 19 titilating tatts, including the word "love" on her right middle finger and the image of the goddess "Isis" on her lower chest, just to name a few. Other famous tatted starlets include Katy PerryDemi Lovato, and Selena Gomez.
The girls may do it well, but the guys definitely do it best! Stylish song boys like Adam Levine rock out with full sleeves and eccentric chest designs. Other song and dance men include the guys of One Direction. The band's very own Zayn Malik recently made headlines when he added a tattoo of his now fiance, Perrie Edwards, from the "X Factor" band "Little Mix"--giving him a total of 30 tattoos to date. There is no doubt that the men have sky rocketed the tattoo trend and with the help of fashion designers "inked up" models likeDeclan John Geraghty and Andrea Marcaccini are strutting their stuff more than ever.
Tattoos have invaded the high fashion world of runway and editorial creating a mixture of interesting and exciting images featuring designer apparel and tattoo art. A "sick" tat does its job by highlighting details like texture, color, and print while accentuating the garments best attributes. They also do wonders to compliment other accessories like jewelry and footwear. And lets face it, a body full of tattoos and not much else isn't a bad thing either!
