Rihanna Cross Tattoo (Celebrity Tattoos) New Ink for Pop Star

Rihanna

Celebrity tattoos - New ink for pop superstar Rihanna with religious overtones - Rihanna got a new tattoo in New York City this weekend.

Ri Ri - who already has more than 20 pieces of body art - had a large ornate cross, surrounded by designs, etched on the inside of her right wrist at Bang Bang Tattoos.

The 25-year-old star visited the studio at midnight and stayed until 5am, and was spotted admiring the new tattoo, which compliments the existing tribal design on her right hand and wrist, afterwards, according to the MailOnline website.

The Barbados native had the other Indian-inspired markings on her hand incorporated into a Maori design, which she got done in October using the excruciatingly painful yet traditional Ta Moko method to mark her trip to New Zealand.

Rihanna has been having tattoos done at the studio in New York since 2007.

The ink-mad beauty's other tattoos include a Sanskrit prayer down her thigh and the word love on the middle finger of her left hand, and claims they all have spiritual meanings.

She said in the past: ''My tattoos are all spiritual and show how I feel about religion. I have a falcon which is an Egyptian falcon and is supposed to stand for God.''

Before visiting the studio, Rihanna went to see 'Lone Survivor' in the cinema on Friday night (10.01.14).

Rita Ora's has huge inking of pinup girl on her ribcage

They’re best friends who do everything together, so it’s no surprise Rita Ora and Cara Delevingne relied on each other for moral support when they got new tattoos on Wednesday night.
The duo, who were in New York for Fashion Week, visited celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang McCurdy, who inked them with two very different etchings.
While Cara – who already had four tattoos - chose to simply get her mother Pandora’s name tattooed on her left arm, Rita choose a huge drawing of an  Alberto Vargas pinup girl to cover her right ribcage.

Rita’s tattoo took an incredible five hours and Bang Bang called it the ‘most detailed tattoo’ he’s ever done for a celebrity.

Try Temporary Tattoos! for Halloween

Halloween isn’t just for kids! Many folks love to get into the thrill and fun of Halloween. They search for weeks prior to the holiday for the perfect costume, wildest makeup, and catchiest accessories to make sure they have the most fun possible on Halloween. However, while having fun on this day calls for people to wear costumes and paint their bodies with colorful makeup, they may not want to mark their bodies permanently just for the sake of reveling in Halloween excitement.
Rather than deal with permanent tattoos for the remainder of the year, they can enjoy their holiday and accessorize their costumes with temporary tattoos.

Temporary Tattoos

People think of temporary tattoos as being nothing more than kiddie prizes that are fished out of the bottom of a cereal box or a container of popcorn snacks. However, these tattoos, like those found online at  tattooyou.com, are created for more than just children today. Adults of all walks of life can enjoy a bit of fantasy and dress-up when they buy temporary tattoos for their Halloween enjoyment.
They can find tattoos to match just about any costume available. As they shop for their perfect temporary tattoos, they are encouraged to consider the different varieties.

Biker and Grunge Tattoos

Adults love to dress up in costumes that are beyond their normal realms of reality. It is not uncommon, for example, to see a white collar professional dressed up as a rowdy biker on Halloween. Because this white collar office worker may not have tattoos already, that individual can create a more realistic costume by wearing temporary biker tattoos.
A skull and cross bones placed strategically on this person’s forearms, a heart tattoo with the word “Mom” inscribed inside placed on their neck, or a leather strap tattoo placed around that person’s wrist could help that person look and perhaps temporarily feel like a real biker just for that Halloween evening.

Fancy and Elegant Tattoos

Because a girl may not be able to afford the real thing, she can add some glamor and elegance to her Chanel costume by wearing temporary pearl tattoos. Likewise, a woman dressed as a reigning member of one of Europe’s glitziest royal families can add sparkle and shine to her costume with temporary diamond tattoos. Rather than invest in kiddie-like costume jewelry, women can add more of a real-life elegance and beauty to their costumes with these tattoos.

Fantasy and Glitter Tattoos

People love to dress up as their favorite sci-fi or fantasy characters. Because many of these characters have glittery skins, people who dress up as these characters often want to mimic their glitter appearances. However, instead of bathing in glitter that can be difficult to remove and become ingrained in people’s carpeting at home, costume wearers instead can wear temporary tattoos that have glitter in them. They can apply these accessories to their skin without spilling glitter on the floor or getting it on their skin.
When people want to enjoy Halloween without actually having tattoos inked on their skin, they can add to their excitement and fun by wearing temporary tattoos. These temporary accessories allow them to have their holiday enjoyment without worrying about removing the marks from their bodies after Halloween ends.

Tattoos are the ultimate Accessory!

tumblr.com
It's an awesome thing when a fad becomes a trend. But let's face it, fashion trends don't last forever. If you're lucky, 5 years will roll by, and some resemblance of what was in then will be in again. But what happens when the trend you're sporting now is stuck with you forever? This seems to be the case with the fashion world's latest bad ass trend, tattoos. From the chic runways of Paris, France to the hipster streets of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York-- tattoos have become the ultimate fashion accessory for both men and women.

Often small, and sometimes in the most intimate of places, women have adopted a tough yet romantic tattooing trend; using ink to rock risqué phrases, pretty limericks, and cute symbols. Celebrity fashionistas like Miley Cyrus and her funky "Da Vinci" heart done by celebrity tattoo artist,Kat Von D, is just an example. But no one compares to Rihanna and her stunning 19 titilating tatts, including the word "love" on her right middle finger and the image of the goddess "Isis" on her lower chest, just to name a few. Other famous tatted starlets include Katy PerryDemi Lovato, and Selena Gomez.
The girls may do it well, but the guys definitely do it best! Stylish song boys like Adam Levine rock out with full sleeves and eccentric chest designs. Other song and dance men include the guys of One Direction. The band's very own Zayn Malik recently made headlines when he added a tattoo of his now fiance, Perrie Edwards, from the "X Factor" band "Little Mix"--giving him a total of 30 tattoos to date. There is no doubt that the men have sky rocketed the tattoo trend and with the help of fashion designers "inked up" models likeDeclan John Geraghty and Andrea Marcaccini are strutting their stuff more than ever.
Tattoos have invaded the high fashion world of runway and editorial creating a mixture of interesting and exciting images featuring designer apparel and tattoo art. A "sick" tat does its job by highlighting details like texture, color, and print while accentuating the garments best attributes. They also do wonders to compliment other accessories like jewelry and footwear. And lets face it, a body full of tattoos and not much else isn't a bad thing either!

Kate Moss makes celebrity friends get matching tattoos

Kate Moss at Carine Roitfeld's cocktial party to launch CR Fashion Book Issue 2 - cosmopolitan uk
Click here to find out more!
Kate Moss is one lady we’d all love to be friends and primarily because we’d like to raid her wardrobe and ‘borrow’ a fair few items, but the privilege of being in her inner circle comes with its own price tag…

According to The Sun, the veteran model has asked a select number of her closest friends to each have a matching tattoo of a simple black cross. The inking is a symbol of friendship as well as proving the owner is one of La Moss’ most trusted confidantes.

The latest celebrity to agree to the tattoo is Nick Grimshaw who has formed a strong bond with the model particularly since he started as Radio 1’s breakfast show host and managed early starts with his love for partying.

Sounds just like our sort of friend!

It’s believed the DJ will have the black cross etched onto his arm, just like the one Kate already sports. And he’ll be in good company too, Sadie Frost’s mum, Mary Davidson who is Kate's daughter Lila’s nanny also has the tattoo.

A source told the paper: “The tattoo is a symbol of Kate’s trust.Kate and Mary are extremely close – she’s like a second mum to Kate and a gran to Lila.”

Lets hope these are friendships that will last as long as the tattoos!
