Scarlett Johansson jumps on the bandwagon

Tattoos are more than just something one does to look good. It’s a permanent mark on one’s skin, which remains as self-expression of what the person’s life, dreams and hopes. Scarlett Johansson added to her tattoo collection in November 2012, by getting a horseshoe tattooed on her ribcage with the inscription “Lucky You” along with a smattering of stars. This is her fourth tattoo, and it is yet another of her signature ones, all of which are hopeful and optimistic.
Scarlett Johansson’s tattoos stand for nostalgia, hope, and everything she loves. She has a coloured tattoo of a bright, sunny day on her left forearm. More specifically, it is a tattoo of the sun rising, with bright skies and flying birds in the background. It is a symbol of new beginnings, the chance of new beginnings every day, and the constant hope of a bright day, along with everything else which the dawn symbolizes.
On her wrist, she has a tattoo of what looks like a rosary bracelet from far away, but which has the words “Heart NY” inscribed in the intricacy of the work. It is delicate, it is elegant, and it is simple, and yet it holds a lot of personal meaning for her in terms of the personal history of her life. The tattoo embodies nostalgia, love and memories, and it will always remind her of the love she has for a city which has meant so much to her.
She also has another tattoo near her ankle which shows two interlinked circles, along with the letter A etched inside one of those circles, which must also have a lot of personal meaning for her, and is not just a generic idea which follows tattoo fashion. And her recent tattoo stands for luck, for hope, for optimism, and for positivity.
The horseshoe tattoo was designed by Fuzi Uvtpk, who is a tattoo artist and a graffiti designer as well. According to her, the tattoos on her body make her feel happy, and that each of them hold immense private meaning to her. What makes it even more special is that, instead of discussing her tattoos to the media, she holds her own meanings close to her heart.
All her tattoos have a signature style which says a lot about Scarlett Johansson as a person. They are all really simple, almost child-like in their style. And each of them, because of this, reflect an almost child-like sincerity, purity, hope and optimism. Instead of making them elaborate, indiscernible and overtly intricate, she chose to go the other way, and make them incredibly simple and honest.
All her tattoos, including that of the dawn, are done in a child-like manner, with simple lines, and a hint of naiveté. They all stand for who Scarlett Johansson is. She may be a voluptuous woman who oozes sex appeal, but a part of her attractiveness comes from the innocence which reflects on her face, and which also shows in her preference of the art which will remain on her body forever.
