Harry Styles’ tattoo artist speaks out

One Direction’s Harry Styles is adding to his collection of ink. The teen heartthrob’s new tattoo caught fans' attention in Kent over the weekend, as the boy band filmed a new wet and wild video for their single, “Live while We’re Young”. Harry got a little too wet and wild, accidentally debuting the fresh body art before it is even close to being finished. Words—or were they numbers—showed through the soggy tee shirt plastered to his body. He meant to wait, but his stylist says he doesn’t care.

“I’m doing him a half sleeve,” his tattoo artist, Kevin Paul recently said and Daily Mail reports. A half sleeve? That means all the way to the elbow. So far, the singer has what looks like one large-font word, which appeared to onlookers to be sitting atop Harry Styles’ collarbone.

Not so, says Kevin Paul. The One Direction star’s new ink is actually on his arm. “There's nothing on his collarbone, it's at the top of the arm to begin the sleeve.” Well, it was always hard to see clearly through a wet tee shirt.

“We’re doing that now,” Paul goes on, “so over the next week or two I’m gonna draw that up, send him the pictures over, and then I’ll go back down and start it up.” Okay, that’s clear enough.

Harry Styles already has a number of tattoos, which are said to commemorate major events in his life. The start of One Direction? His X-Factor appearance? Fans will just have to wait and see.

Mandira Bedi: This gorgeous celebrity rose to sudden fame while anchoring world cup. The deep neck blouses and a clear view of cleavage made Mandira Bedi a known name in the nation (especially cricket fans). The celebrity inked a controversial tattoo on her back. She inked a Sikh religious symbol tattoo on her back. Mandira flaunted the tattoo on the ramp and landed up in a thick controversy. The tattoo ‘Ekom Kar" (God is one) are the first words of the Holy Sikh scripture, the Granth Sahib. The Sikh community has asked her apology for the anti-Sikh action. Her another controversial tattoo is the Tibetan Om (Buddhist symbol) that landed her in a deep controversy. People burned effigies of the vivacious anchor for getting such religious things inked in lower waist.

Saif Ali Khan: The royal Nawab of Pataudi suddenly captured all the paparazzi when he sported a new tattoo on his hand. After the most controversial break up of Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan showed off his new tattoo that named 'Kareena' in Hindi. Saif Ali Khan was married to Amrita Singh and has 2 children from her. After the controversial tattoo of the celebrity was clicked by the media, the couple (Saif and Kareena) became the more famous lovebirds in the tinsel town.

Nayantara: The gorgeous Kollywood actress inked the name of her much hyped relationship with choreographer turned actor and director, Prabhu Deva. After her break up with Silambarasan (Simbhu), Nayantara was getting linked with Prabhu Deva. The much hyped relationship with Prabhu was proved when she got a tattoo of his name, just to prove her loyalty and the fact of their relationship. Prabhu Deva is written in English and Tamil on her hand a little above the wrist.

BOBBI KRISTINA AND NICK GORDON GET MATCHING TATTOOS

On August 9, Bobbi Kristina and her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, honored Whitney Houston's 49th birthday by getting the late singer's initials tattooed on their wrists with four doves surrounding the letters WH.

The 19-year-old Brown also tweeted voraciously about Whitney who passed away on February 11 the night before the Grammys 2012. Her body was found at the famed Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

One of Bobbi's social media shadings said about her late mother said, "Once it hits 12 am mommy it's your birthday & I am going2celebrate it2thee fullest! Bc YOU deserve it damn it, YOU deaerveNothingburtheBEST! [sic]"

The young woman also talked about her trip to a tattoo parlor with boyfriend Nick Gordon where the pair got their matching tattoos. She mentioned in the tweet that this particular inking was being taped for her reality show so in the future everyone who wants to can watch as the teen and her partner undergo the sometimes painful process.

Bobbi Kristina Brown also asked that Whitney Houston be a trending topic in honor of the much beloved singers 49th birthday. Ironicially, as of this writing, her mom's name is not trending but her daughter's name is.

Idol’s Kellie Pickler has Ink

While some of us may only know her as “the girl we thought was named ‘Pickles’ on American Idol”, Kellie Pickler is actually quite the performer. Don’t believe us? Well then ask any of the men and woman of the United States military who she’s performed for during her USO tours and they’ll tell you the hard way. To commemorate her time abroad entertaining the troops, the “Best Days of Your Life” and “I Wonder” singer has gotten a group of stars tattooed on her left arm (although she admits that she’s currently two short).

However, those aren’t the only tattoos the Idol loser turned successful country artist has, she also has “Prayer” inked on her right wrist, and a few more pieces of ink on her feet. Her feet tattoos are a heart outline, the word “Forgive”, and the name “Kaye”. The last oneis her grandmother’s name, and is of special significance. Pickler was raised by her grandmother, and knew that while she was alive she hated tattoos; so of course she honored her by getting one of her name.

It’s an adorable bit of defiance and love that makes us all smile a little bit more than usual when we think about it. All of Kellie’s ink looks nice on her, and none of it is overdone or too big. We always question the idea of multiple foot tattoos just because we think it’s a weird spot to get inked, but that’s just a matter of opinion. Overall, we approve of the ink she’s had done, and we especially approve of why she’s had it done!

Tattoos are everywhere at the moment. From One Direction cutie Harry Styles' tiny 'A' thought to be dedicated to his mum Anne (bless) to Megan Fox's portrait of Marilyn Monroe, you'd be hard pushed to find an ink free celebrity. Always willing to take a trend to extremes, it seems Lady Gaga is even using tattoos to make official announcements to her fans. The singer, who already had nine tats tweeted a photo of herself with number ten on Friday alongside the message 'new ink new album.'

So now, via the medium of body art we know that the follow up to Gaga'a Born This Way, which she promises will be in shops before next spring is titled 'ARTPOP'. Later the platinum blonde star demanded 'make sure when writing about my new album/project ARTPOP that you CAPITALIZE the title.' Don’t worry Gaga, we've taken note!

She also added the mysterious message 'we could/we could/belong together. ARTPOP', which her Little Monsters have unanimously decided must be lyrics from the upcoming LP.

Gaga isn't the only celebrity who has unveiled a new tattoo design with a message recently. Russell Brand has been spotted out in LA with 'Lord, make me a channel of thy peace' inked on his arm. The religious passage is found in the Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions book and is adapted from the Catholic Prayer of Saint Francis. Russell can be seen on BBC Three later this month discussing his battle with drugs and alcohol in the documentary Russell Brand: From Addiction to Recovery.

As far as we know, these tributes to their patriarch began as a birthday gift. But when Dolphy was rushed to the hospital, more of the boys decided to forever mark Dolpy on their skins. Tattoo artist Jaime Tud was asked to come to Dolphy’s wake especially to ink some of the man’s progeny. Props go to Vandolph and Boy2 for choosing a solemn image of Dolphy praying. Zia opted to have her first tattoo on the back of her neck, a seal with the initials RVQ for Rodolfo Vera Quizon.

Angel Locsin

We’ve seen Angel showing off her tats for Rogue magazine, displaying what looks like three Chinese characters on her small of her back. Lately she’s been sporting a couple of wrist tattoos, which fans tell us are Hebrew characters that mean ‘always have and always will.’ Hmmm. Could her current boyfriend Phil Younghusband have anything to do with that?

We have to say, we were a little surprised to find that APO Hiking Society singer Jim Paredes had a tattoo, although it is very awesome that he does. He describes his fox and guitar tattoo as a “symbol of music and zen.” He credits the initial guitar design to his daughter, Ala Paredes, and the floral enhancements to Totoy of Sin City Tattoos.

Maggie Wilson

When we said that tattoos had plenty of symbolized meanings, we were actually thinking about Maggie’s. The model/actress wasn’t shy to share where she’s gotten inked. "I've got a Celtic cross on my neck representing my Scottish heritage,” she tells us. “My name in Arabic with my own handwriting is on the side of my right tummy, an ambigram of my husband’s name ‘Victor’ and ‘my love’, 2 Kois on either side of my pelvis; 1 representing water surrounded in fire and the other fire surrounded by water.”  The Koi fish are symbolic as Maggie’s zodiac sign is Pisces. As for the location of the ambigram, you can see that on her left hip.

Charice Pempengco

To say that Charice underwent a recent transformation is a bit of an understatement. The Youtube sensation cut off her dark locks and traded them in for dirty blonde streaks and sported a tattoo at a press conference for Pinoy X Factor. In this photo from Pep.ph, you can see that the tattoo on her right arm says ‘Love Eternally’ with the symbol for infinity in between.

This technique can be considered very similar to the way a tattoo machine is used on a person’s skin.

After a formal introduction, they began collaborating and the rest is history. Shortly after, some of Tiffany’s most prominent and attractive designs slowly began coming to life as they were etched on the lenses of her sunglass line.

With an already successful career as a professional tattoo artist and one of a kind technology in her corner, makes this Jersey girl a force to be reckoned with.
